Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumakuru is an autonomous college affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka. It was established in the year 1963 and is one among 121 institutions run by the benign management, Sree Siddaganga Education Society, founded and nurtured by His Holiness Padma Bhushana, Karnataka Ratna Dr. Sree Sree Sivakumara Swamiji, who lived for 111 years, serving the society. Presently, it is ably lead under the spiritual leadership of Sree Sree Siddalinga Swamigalu.

Established in 1963 by the revered His Holiness Dr. Sree Sree Shivakumara Swamiji of Siddaganga Math, Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT) has grown into one of Karnataka’s most respected engineering institutions.
