Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumakuru, established in 1963, is an autonomous institution affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. It is one of the 121 institutions managed by the Sree Siddaganga Education Society, founded by His Holiness Padma Bhushana, Karnataka Ratna Dr. Sree Sree Sivakumara Swamiji, who served society selflessly for 111 years.
